Qualification: Postgraduate in Science (Chemistry stream) / B.Tech Paint Technology / Diploma in Surface Coating Technology

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Mangalore

Key skill or job description:

• Responsible for improving routine inspection efficiency through test method enhancement and recipe optimization
• Asset management of laboratory testing equipment including calibration, maintenance, and replacement
• Ensure technical feasibility, repeatability, and reproducibility of test methods and inspection plans
• Testing of raw materials, intermediates, in-process, finished products, and packaging materials as per specifications
• Perform long-term evaluation tests such as salt spray, humidity testing, accelerated weathering, and outdoor exposure
• Conduct PV testing for vendor and customer samples
• Troubleshoot product-related quality issues
• Maintain documents related to Quality Management System requirements
• Implement Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) systems across the QC department
• Ensure safe handling of hazardous chemicals and PPE compliance
• Coordinate with maintenance department for laboratory equipment upkeep
• Maintain housekeeping and equipment conditions in defined QC areas
• Knowledge of paint chemistry fundamentals
• Knowledge of resin chemistry fundamentals
• Knowledge of quality tools and continuous improvement practices

Who Can Apply

• Professionals with a postgraduate degree in Chemistry, B.Tech in Paint Technology, or Diploma in Surface Coating Technology
• Candidates with 6 to 12 years of QA/QC experience in paint manufacturing plants
• Internal auditors certified in IATF 16949:2016
• Candidates with Six Sigma / DMAIC Black Belt certification
• Professionals with expertise in 7 QC Tools, Lean practices, and quality management systems
• Preferred candidates with Licensed VDA 6.3 Auditor, Lean Master, or Crater Expert certifications
