Canara Bank Graduate Apprentice Recruitment 2026 – 3500 Vacancies
Canara Bank has invited applications for 3,500 graduate apprentice seats for 2026-27 under the Apprentices Act, 1961. The 12-month training pays ₹16,650 a month, and you can apply from 1 to 17 October 2026 after registering on the NATS portal.

Eligibility:
Reckoning Date: 01.09.2026 for age and qualification.
Age: 20 to 28 years, i.e. born between 02.09.1998 and 01.09.2006 (both inclusive). (Relaxation of upper age limit is applicable for reserved categories)
Qualification: A degree in any discipline from a recognised university, passed between 01.01.2023 and 01.09.2026.
Local language: exempt if your 10th or 12th records show you studied it. Otherwise you take a test at document verification, and failing it means no engagement.
Medical: you must be declared medically fit.
Not Eligible If:
You have done or are doing apprenticeship training elsewhere, or were terminated for your own fault.
You have one year or more of training or job experience after your qualification.
You are an ex-serviceman or disabled ex-serviceman.
Terms of Apprenticeship:
Status: Apprentice, not a Bank employee. No employee benefits, PF, ESI or bonus, and no promise of a job afterwards.
Stipend: ₹16,650 a month: ₹10,500 from the Bank plus ₹6,150 government share by DBT, after loss-of-pay adjustments. No other allowances.
Training: on-the-job at selected branches, during clerical-cadre working hours.
Overtime: only with the Apprenticeship Adviser's approval.
Leave: one casual leave per completed month, 12 a year, at most 4 at a time. Unused leave lapses at contract end. No other leave.
Holidays: as observed at your branch.
Conduct: misconduct can end the contract. Apprentices may not join or form unions.
Contract: a digital contract on NATS, which you must accept in time and which must be approved there before you are engaged.
Termination: if you don't report on the start date, or for misbehaviour or poor performance, after 7 days' notice.
Certificate: NATS joint certification on completion.

Application Fee Details:
- SC/ST/PwBD: Nil
- All others: ₹500 including GST (non-refundable)
Selection Process:
- A state-wise merit list is made from marks in 12th/10+2/Diploma.
- Ties are broken by age; the older candidate ranks higher.
- Minimum marks are 60% (55% for SC/ST/PwBD), with no rounding up.
- CGPA must be converted to a percentage, with a certificate from the board/university.
- The merit list uses only what you enter online. Any mismatch at verification means disqualification.
- Document verification and the language test happen together.
- Final selection needs verified eligibility, a pass in the language test (where applicable) and medical fitness.
- A waitlist runs for one year, and a candidate is released from it only once.
