Job Purpose
This role is primarily for a Java application framework version upgrade project, involving upgrades of existing applications, frameworks, and dependent libraries while ensuring compatibility, performance, and minimal business impact.

Job Description / Duties and Responsibilities
Required Skills
• 4 to 8 years experience in Java, JEE, and frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate.
• Good knowledge of JBoss and Apache Tomcat servers.
• Experience building APIs and services using REST and SOAP.
• Experience working on framework, library, and platform version upgrades, including impact analysis, code remediation, dependency management, and testing.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL Server database, including writing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance troubleshooting.
• Ability to analyse existing applications and identify changes required during framework compatibility upgrades.
• Ability to coordinate requirements, schedules, and development activities while troubleshooting issues across multiple environments.
• Flexibility to work on multiple technologies and custom frameworks.
• Work closely with engineering teams to implement best practices and improve application quality.
• Communicate effectively with clients and cross-functional teams regarding project status, risks, and solutions.
• Prior experience working with US clients is preferred.
• Knowledge of the Insurance domain is desirable.
