Senior Engineer – Linux

Job Summary :
As a Linux L2 Support Engineer at an Indian NBFC, you will manage high availability of Ubuntu/OEL//CentOS environments hosting critical lending and payment platforms. You are responsible for advanced troubleshooting, security hardening, and patching while ensuring strict adherence to RBI IT compliance and DPDP data standards. This role also requires proficiency in shell scripting and automation using Ansible.

Responsibilities:
• System Administration: Perform advanced L2 troubleshooting, performance tuning, and configuration management for RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu servers.
• Production Support: Ensure 99.9% uptime for critical financial applications.
• Compliance & Security: Execute OS hardening and vulnerability remediation in strict accordance with RBI IT Framework.
• Patch Management: Manage end-to-end patching cycles.
• Storage Management: Administer disk management.
• Automation: Develop shell scripts to automate repetitive system tasks, health checks, and log rotations.
• IncidentChange Management: Lead technical recovery during outages, assist in creating detailed RCAs (Root Cause Analysis), and adhere to ITIL change management protocols.

Educational qualification :
• Minimum 3 Years Degree (B-techBCA)

Experience Range (Required experience range in years)
• 4 to 6 Years Dedicated Linux administration

Required work experience
• 3+ years of hands-on managing Linux servers in production environment.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting Linux servers
• Hands-on experience in configuration of CIS based hardening parameters.
• Knowledge in shell scripting for automation.
• Strong understanding of Linux patch management.
• Experience with integrating Linux servers with active directory environment.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills for OS and performance issues.
