Key Responsibilities:

• Implement established safety policies, processes and standard operating procedures.
• Support line management in interpreting and implementing safety policies.
• Assist with new safety initiatives and projects.
• Participate in first-party and third-party health and safety audits.
• Conduct safety observations and recommend actions to improve safety behaviour.
• Maintain logbooks, occurrence books and shift-related safety documentation.
• Investigate safety incidents, perform root cause analysis and identify preventive action plans.
• Participate in risk management programmes and identify appropriate control measures.
• Prepare MIS reports, safety updates, findings and safety performance indices.
• Track leading and lagging safety metrics and support improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and organise safety awareness training programmes.
• Review near-miss incidents and recommend improvement actions to line management.
• Coordinate plant-level safety committee meetings.
