Jr. QA Engineer – Apprentice

We are looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic QA Engineer Apprentice to join our software testing team.
This is a 1-year apprenticeship opportunity where the candidate will gain practical, hands-on experience in software testing while working closely with our QA and development teams. The role will primarily focus on manual testing, with opportunities to learn and work with basic automation, API testing, SQL, and other QA practices.
Responsibilities
• Perform manual testing of software applications under the guidance of the QA team.
• Understand system requirements and prepare test cases and test data.
• Execute functional, regression, and integration test cases.
• Identify, document, and track bugs using the appropriate defect-tracking tools.
• Re-test resolved issues and perform regression testing.
• Work closely with developers and the QA team to understand and resolve issues.
• Maintain and update test documentation throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and understand the software development process.
• Perform basic API testing and database validation as required.
• Gain practical exposure to test automation and assist with automation scripts for repetitive test scenarios.
• Continuously learn and improve testing techniques and QA practices.
Required Skills
• Basic understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Knowledge of manual software testing and test case preparation.
• Basic knowledge of SQL.
• Basic understanding of API testing tools such as Postman is an advantage.
• Basic exposure to automation tools such as Selenium is an advantage.
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as JIRA is an advantage.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good documentation and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge or previous exposure to the travel domain will be an added advantage.
• Candidates who have completed QA/testing courses are encouraged to apply.
• Immediate joiners preferred.
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Candidates with up to 1 year of experience or freshers in software testing are welcome to apply.
Stipend Amount
• ₹13000 – ₹15000
