Educational Qualification

• Educational Qualification: MBBS degree with MS / DNB in General Surgery recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) as per NMC norms / Residency Scheme adopted by Aligarh Muslim University.
• Registration: Valid permanent registration with NMC / State Medical Council.
• Nationality: Indian Nationals and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) Cardholders under Section-7A of the Citizenship Act, 1955.

Eligible candidates will appear directly before the Local Selection Committee (LSC) on 13.10.2026 at 12:30 PM (Reporting: 12:00 Noon) in the Office of the Dean, Faculty of Medicine, J.N. Medical College, AMU, Aligarh. Candidates must bring all original degrees, mark sheets from Class X to Postgraduation, NMC registration, experience certificates, and NOC (if employed). Selection is based on performance in the interview and academic/clinical portfolio evaluation.

Pay Academic Level AL-11 under 7th CPC (Entry Pay ₹67,700/- per month) plus Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) and other central government / university allowances.

Pay Academic Level AL-11 as per 7th Central Pay Commission (7th CPC) with admissible allowances including Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA), DA, and HRA.

Application Procedure

• Fill out the online application form for Local Advertisement No. FM/36/2026 (Department of Surgery, Senior Resident).
• Pay the non-refundable processing fee of ₹500/- online (PwD candidates are exempted).
• Submit the online form on or before 28.09.2026 (upto 11:59 PM) .
• Download and take a printout of the submitted PDF application form on A-4 size paper.

Sign the printed application, paste a recent front-facing photograph, and attach self-attested photocopies of all required certificates (Class X, MBBS degree & marksheets, MS/DNB degree & marksheets, NMC registration, internship certificate, and NOC if applicable).

Send the completed physical dossier in an envelope superscribing “Application for Senior Resident, Department of Surgery, Advt. No. FM/36/2026 dated 21.09.2026” to: Office of the Dean, J. N. Medical College, Faculty of Medicine, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh – 202002 (U.P.) so as to reach on or before 06.10.2026 (04:00 PM) .

Application Fee & Category Concessions

• PwD Candidates: Exempted from application fee upon uploading authentic Disability Certificate (minimum 40% disability) on the prescribed proforma.
