- Post-wise Qualification Matrix:
Project Research Scientist-III: MBBS/BVSc/BDS + MD/MVSc/MDS/MPH with 3 years post-qualification experience, OR MBBS/BVSc/BDS + MPH/PhD with 3 years experience, OR Post Graduate Degree with 5 years experience, OR PhD with 2 years experience.
Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical): Post Graduate Degree with 3 years post-qualification experience OR Ph.D. in relevant subject.
Project Research Scientist-I (Medical): MBBS / BVSc / BDS or equivalent medical degree.
Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical / Social Science): Post Graduate Degree in relevant subject (Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Anthropology, Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Economics, Population Studies, or Biostatistics).
Project Administrative Officer: Bachelor's degree or equivalent with minimum 3 years administrative experience in Govt/Autonomous/PSU bodies and proficiency in MS Office.
Project Field Officer: Graduate in Science or relevant subjects with 3 years field experience from a recognized institution.
Project Technical Support-III: 3-year Graduate degree in relevant subject/life science with 3 years post-qualification experience, OR Post Graduate degree in relevant subject.
Senior Project Assistant: 3-year Graduate degree with 3 years experience OR PG degree in relevant field.
Project Technical Support-II: 12th in Bio-Science + DMLT/MLT with 5 years experience, OR 3-year Graduate degree with 2 years experience, OR M.Sc. in relevant subject.
Project Technical Support-I: 10th + DMLT/MLT/ITI with 2 years experience, OR Graduate degree in relevant subject with 1 year experience.
Project Assistant Multipurpose (Admin): Graduate in any discipline with 2 years administrative work experience.

Selection is conducted through in-person document verification and a personal walk-in interview before a duly constituted Selection Committee at ICMR-NIRTH Jabalpur. Walk-in registration takes place between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM on the designated interview dates (05-10-2026 for Posts 1 to 10; 06-10-2026 for Posts 11 to 22). No candidate will be admitted past 11:00 AM. If the number of eligible candidates for any position is large, the Institute reserves the right to conduct a preliminary screening written test prior to personal interviews.

Academic Credentials & Essential Qualifications Scoring based on percentage of marks in qualifying degrees (MBBS, MD, PhD, Post Graduation, Graduation, Diploma, or 10th standard) and relevant academic distinction.
Relevant Research & Lab/Field Experience Evaluation of documented post-qualification experience in ICMR/Govt projects, molecular diagnostics (PCR, ELISA, NGS), field epidemiology, or public health administration.
Personal Walk-in Interview / Viva Voce Direct assessment by the Selection Committee covering domain knowledge, research methodology, technical aptitude, communication skills, and suitability for tribal health projects.

Consolidated monthly emoluments: Scientist-III: Rs. 78,000/- + 20% HRA (Rs. 93,600/- total); Scientist-II: Rs. 67,000/- + 20% HRA; Scientist-I (Medical): Rs. 67,000/- + 20% HRA; Scientist-I (Non-Medical): Rs. 56,000/- + 20% HRA; Project Admin Officer: Rs. 50,000/-; Senior Project Assistant: Rs. 29,200/-; Project Field Officer: Rs. 28,933/-; Technical Support-III: Rs. 28,000/- + 20% HRA; Assistant Multipurpose: Rs. 24,000/- + HRA; Technical Support-II: Rs. 20,000/- + 18-20% HRA; Technical Support-I & MTS: Rs. 18,000/- (+ 20% HRA where applicable).
Purely contractual positions for 3 months or until finalization of GeM manpower outsourcing contract (GEM/2026/B/7491140). Consolidated monthly salary ranges from Rs. 18,000/- to Rs. 78,000/- plus 18% to 20% HRA as admissible.
