Job Details
The Naval Physical and Oceanographic Laboratory (NPOL), Kochi, under DRDO, Ministry of Defence, has invited eligible candidates to a walk-in interview for the position of Junior Research Fellow in Electrical & Electronics / Electronics & Communication / Instrumentation Engineering (Advertisement No. NPOL/JRF/01/2026). Vacancies: vacancies anticipated. A panel will be drawn that operates for one year, and empanelment alone does not guarantee an offer of fellowship.
Minimum Qualifications
- B.E/B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering or Instrumentation Engineering in 1st Division with valid GATE qualification, or
- M.E/M.Tech in the same disciplines in 1st Division, with 1st Division at both graduate (B.Sc/B.Tech) and postgraduate level
- Candidates must hold a valid NET/GATE score as required for the discipline, valid on the date of the walk-in interview.
- Upper age limit is 28 years on the date of the walk-in interview, with relaxation for SC, ST and OBC candidates as per Government of India norms.
Salary
Monthly emoluments of Rs. 37,000 plus House Rent Allowance as admissible under the rules. The fellowship is awarded initially for two years, extendable as per rules.
