The Odoo Functional Consultant will be responsible for delivering successful Odoo ERP implementations by understanding client business processes, translating business requirements into effective Odoo solutions, and ensuring successful user adoption.
The role involves working closely with clients, business stakeholders, end-users, project managers, and technical developers throughout the complete implementation lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
* Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering: Conduct discovery sessions, understand business processes and workflows, gather requirements, and document functional needs.
* Process Mapping & Gap Analysis: Map business requirements to standard Odoo functionality and perform fit-gap analysis to identify configuration, customization, integration, or process-change requirements.
* Odoo Configuration & Implementation: Configure Odoo modules based on approved business requirements and implementation scope.
* End-to-End Process Design: Design and validate cross-functional workflows across Sales, CRM, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, Manufacturing, POS, HR, and other relevant Odoo applications.
* Functional Documentation: Prepare BRDs, FRS, process flows, SOPs, user manuals, configuration documents, and other functional documentation.
* Data Migration: Define data requirements, prepare data templates, perform data mapping and validation, and coordinate migration activities with technical teams.
* Testing & UAT: Prepare test scenarios and test cases, coordinate UAT with clients, document issues, validate fixes, and ensure functional readiness for go-live.
* Training & Change Management: Conduct training sessions for key users and end-users and support user adoption and process transition.
* Go-Live & Post-Go-Live Support: Support go-live activities, resolve functional issues, and provide stabilization and post-implementation support.
* Technical Collaboration: Work closely with Odoo developers to convert functional requirements into clear customization specifications, review developed features, and perform functional validation.
* Client & Stakeholder Management: Conduct client meetings, presentations, requirement workshops, and progress discussions while managing expectations and ensuring clear communication.
* Pre-Sales Support: Participate in requirement discovery, Odoo demonstrations, solution design, scope definition, effort estimation, and proposal preparation when required.
* Continuous Improvement: Recommend standard Odoo functionality and best practices wherever possible while minimizing unnecessary customizations.

Key Requirements & Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
* 3+ years of hands-on experience as an Odoo Functional Consultant or ERP Implementation Consultant.
* Strong practical knowledge of Odoo 17, 18, or 19 and core business workflows.
* Good understanding of multiple Odoo applications, including CRM, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, Manufacturing, POS, HR, and related modules.
* Strong understanding of ERP implementation methodologies and business process mapping.
* Experience conducting fit-gap analysis and translating business requirements into functional solutions.
* Good understanding of accounting and finance processes when working with Odoo Accounting.
* Strong documentation, analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
* Excellent client communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to work effectively with both functional and technical teams.
* Experience with data migration, UAT, training, and go-live activities.
* Ability to understand technical concepts such as APIs, integrations, and custom development without necessarily being a developer.
* Willingness to travel for client meetings or implementation activities when required.

Good to Have
* Odoo certification or relevant ERP certification.
* Experience with Odoo.sh, Odoo Online, or on-premise deployments.
* Experience with third-party integrations and payment gateways.
* Experience working with international clients.
* Experience in Odoo localization for countries such as India, UAE, Qatar, Germany, France, or Japan.
* Pre-sales / solution consulting experience.
* Experience managing multiple Odoo implementations simultaneously.
* Knowledge of project management tools and Agile implementation methodologies.
