Job Description

• Lead and mentor a team of testers, allocating work, reviewing output, and ensuring quality and timelines are met across projects.
• Own the overall test strategy and test planning for projects, translating business and functional requirements into comprehensive test plans.
• Review and approve test cases, scripts, and procedures designed by team members; guide the team on manual and automated testing
approaches.
• Drive testing across different operating systems, browsers, and devices to ensure software meets defined quality standards and user needs.
• Oversee security testing efforts and provide inputs on strengthening the company’s product quality and risk posture.
• Act as the primary point of contact for project managers, developers, business analysts, and stakeholders on all testing-related matters,
including scope, timelines, and risks.
• Track defects, drive root-cause analysis, and ensure timely closure by coordinating with development and cross-functional teams.
• Report on test progress, quality metrics, and release readiness to project leadership and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to introduce or improve automation frameworks and testing tools within the team.
• Stay current on industry trends, testing tools, and technologies, and bring relevant improvements into the team’s practices.
• Ensure adherence to testing standards, processes, and best practices across the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 9+ years of overall experience in software testing, with at least 2–3 years in a Test Lead or team-leading capacity.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices, along with experience building or reviewing test strategies.
• Hands-on and supervisory experience with both manual and automated testing techniques.
• Proficiency in testing frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.; experience setting up or scaling automation is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage a testing team.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience interfacing with clients and project leadership.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
