Technical Proposal Engineer

Location: Kozhikode, Kerala
Experience: 0-1 Year of relevant experience in technical proposal preparation, estimation, procurement, sales engineering, or a related role.
Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Business, Procurement, or a related technical field.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Technical Proposal Engineer responsible for managing the complete proposal and quotation process, from reviewing customer enquiries and RFQs to preparing technically compliant and commercially competitive offers. The role involves coordination with clients, suppliers, manufacturers, procurement teams, and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate submission of quotations and tenders.

Key Responsibilities
1. Review and analyze RFQs, enquiries, tenders, and technical specifications received from customers.
2. Understand customer requirements and identify suitable products, equipment, and technical solutions.
3. Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and tender submissions.
4. Review datasheets, specifications, drawings, BOQ/BOM, and other technical documents.
5. Coordinate with manufacturers, suppliers, and vendors to obtain technical information, pricing, lead times, and compliance documents.
6. Prepare and verify costing, pricing, margins, and commercial terms before quotation submission.
7. Conduct technical and commercial comparison of supplier quotations.
8. Prepare compliance statements, technical submittals, deviations, and clarifications.
9. Ensure quotations comply with customer specifications, project requirements, and applicable standards.
10. Coordinate with procurement and sales teams for material availability, delivery schedules, and commercial requirements.
11. Follow up on submitted quotations and maintain an updated sales/proposal funnel.
12. Communicate with customers to obtain technical clarifications and resolve enquiry-related issues.
13. Support negotiation activities by providing technical and commercial information.
