Job Summary
This role drives end-to-end pharmaceutical product development for the domestic market, ensuring timely execution from feasibility assessment to dossier submission. It requires strong coordination across R&D, manufacturing, regulatory and commercial teams to deliver compliant, cost-effective and market-ready formulations.
Product Development Responsibilities
- Conduct technical and commercial feasibility analysis for new product proposals.
- Define, monitor and track project timelines using EPM/PS tools.
- Coordinate procurement of APIs, excipients, standards and FFS with Purchase.
- Finalize CROs for bio-studies considering cost, method availability and criticality.
- Prepare and present monthly MIS reports with variance analysis to business heads.
- Lead regulatory submissions and promptly address queries.
- Conduct phase-wise project reviews (Review E-04) for API and formulation.
- Assess feasibility for product extensions into new markets.
- Detail understanding of Product Development Roadmap with timelines – Pre-Formulation, Formulation Development, Optimization & Scale-up, Analytical Development, Licensing & Regulatory Requirements, Regulatory Review, Clinical & BA/BE Study, Commercial Production and Launching etc.
Site PDG Execution Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate pilot, exhibit and scale-up batches with PPC and plant teams.
- Ensure availability of plant documents and validation protocols.
- Oversee analytical validations, cleaning validations and stability studies.
- Collaborate with QA/QC for timely testing, release and dossier readiness.
- Address regulatory queries and ensure closure of deviations/OOS.
- Provide costing inputs for new launches and current year formulations.
