Educational Qualification
- Essential: M.F.Sc. in Fisheries Science OR M.Sc. in Biotechnology / Microbiology / Life Sciences with specialization in Fisheries.
- Desirable: Hands-on experience in Fish Processing & Product Technology, handling of bacteria, and molecular techniques (microbiome/metagenomic analysis). Strong computer documentation and analytical skills.

Selection is conducted through in-person verification of original credentials, academic records, and a walk-in interview before the Selection Committee on 21st September 2026 at College of Fisheries, Lembucherra, Tripura.

Interview & Project Aptitude Understanding of fermentation biochemistry, traditional fermented fish (shidol) microbiome dynamics, computer documentation, and research communication

Pay Scale & Monthly Remuneration
Monthly fellowship emolument as per DBT guidelines plus 9% HRA for candidates qualified through CSIR-UGC NET/GATE or Central Government national examinations.
Monthly emoluments as per DBT / Central Government norms (₹37,000/- or ₹31,000/- per month + 9% HRA for scholars selected through CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship/GATE or National level examination conducted by Central Govt. Departments/Agencies). Initial engagement is purely contractual for 6 months or co-terminus with the project (up to June 2029).
