Educational Qualification
- Project Assistant – I/II: 10th + ITI (for PA-I) OR B.Sc. / 3-year Diploma in Engineering/Technology (for PA-II).
- Project Associate – I: B.E. / B.Tech / M.Sc. / MCA in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, IT, Electronics, Atmospheric Science, Oceanography, Meteorology, Geophysics, Earth Sciences, Physics, or Agriculture.
- Project Associate – II: Prescribed Master's or B.Tech degree with minimum 2 years post-qualification R&D experience in relevant discipline.
- Senior Project Associate: Master's degree with 3 years experience OR M.Tech with 2 years experience OR Ph.D. with 2 years experience.
- Principal Project Associate: Master's degree with 6 years experience OR Ph.D. with 3 years experience.
- Project Scientist-I: Ph.D. in Hydrology / Remote Sensing / Earth Sciences OR M.Tech with 4 years R&D experience.
Age Limit & Relaxations
- Age criteria as on date of walk-in interview (21.09.2026):
- Project Assistant – I/II, Project Associate – I/II, Project Scientist-I: Maximum 35 years.
- Senior Project Associate, Principal Project Associate: Maximum 40 years.
- Project Associate – I/II (Sponsored projects): Maximum 50 years.

Selection is conducted through document verification and walk-in personal interview on 21.09.2026 at CSIR-NIDSA, Bengaluru. Candidates will be evaluated on the basis of academic credentials, research/computational experience, and technical viva voce before the selection committee. No written exam is conducted.

Pay Scale & Monthly Remuneration
Post-wise monthly consolidated remuneration plus admissible House Rent Allowance (HRA):
• Project Assistant – I: ₹18,000/- p.m. + HRA
• Project Assistant – II: ₹20,000/- p.m. + HRA (15% increment after 3 years)
• Project Associate – I: ₹31,000/- (with NET/GATE) or ₹25,000/- (without NET/GATE) + HRA
• Project Associate – II: ₹35,000/- (with NET/GATE) or ₹28,000/- (without NET/GATE) + HRA
• Senior Project Associate: ₹42,000/- p.m. + HRA
• Principal Project Associate: ₹42,000/- p.m. + HRA
• Project Scientist – I: ₹56,000/- p.m. + HRA (5% increment for every 2 years)
Consolidated emoluments range from ₹18,000/- p.m. + HRA for PA-I up to ₹56,000/- p.m. + HRA for Project Scientist-I. NET/GATE qualified candidates receive enhanced emoluments of ₹31,000/- to ₹37,000/- p.m. + HRA for Project Associate-I and ₹35,000/- to ₹42,000/- p.m. + HRA for Project Associate-II.

Application Procedure
- Visit the official website of CSIR-NIDSA (formerly CSIR-4PI) at www.csir4pi.res.in and review Advertisement No. 02/2026.
- Download and print the prescribed Application / Bio-data form from the website.
- Fill out the application form with personal, educational, research experience, and NET/GATE qualification details, and affix a recent passport-size photograph.
- Assemble original certificates from Matriculation (10th) onwards, marksheets, degree certificates, experience certificates, and NET/GATE scorecard, along with one complete set of self-attested photocopies.
Candidates currently employed in government/autonomous/PSU organizations must bring a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their current employer.
- Report in person for the Walk-in Interview on 21st September 2026 at the designated venue: CSIR-NIDSA (Formerly CSIR-4PI), NAL Belur Campus, Wind Tunnel Road, Bengaluru – 560037, Karnataka .
