Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline with an excellent academic record, securing First Class in preceding Bachelor's and Master's degrees. Candidates must satisfy the minimum cumulative essential credit points, post-Ph.D. research/teaching experience, and publication benchmarks prescribed under Schedule 'E' of the First Statutes of NITs (amended 2017 & 2023).

Selection is conducted through a multi-stage screening process in accordance with Schedule 'E' of the NIT Statutes. Online applications are scrutinized based on minimum educational qualifications, research publications, and cumulative credit points. Shortlisted candidates deliver a teaching & research seminar presentation before the Departmental Scrutiny Committee, followed by a personal interview before the Board-constituted Selection Committee.

Assistant Professor Gr-II: Pay Level 10 (Entry Pay ₹70,900/-); Assistant Professor Gr-I: Pay Level 12 (Entry Pay ₹1,01,500/-); Associate Professor: Pay Level 13A2 (Entry Pay ₹1,39,600/-); Professor: Pay Level 14A (Entry Pay ₹1,59,100/-).

Pay Level 10 (Entry Pay ₹70,900/-) to Level 14A (Entry Pay ₹1,59,100/-) under 7th CPC. Entitled to DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, Children Education Allowance, Medical Reimbursement (cashless in Warangal/Hyderabad), LTC, National Pension Scheme, Cumulative Professional Development Allowance (CPDA) of ₹3 Lakhs, and an initial research seed grant of ₹5 Lakhs. How to Apply

Application Procedure

• Visit the official online recruitment portal at recruit.nitw.ac.in .
• Register with a valid email ID and mobile number to generate login credentials.
• Fill out the application form with personal, educational, research, and credit points details across multiple sessions.

Upload PDF copies of required documents: proof of date of birth (10th marksheet), UG/PG degree certificates and marksheets, Ph.D. award certificate, category certificate (OBC-NCL/EWS/SC/ST/PwD), experience certificates with Pay Level/Basic Pay, photo ID proof, and Teaching & Research Statements.

• Pay the non-refundable application fee (₹2,000 for UR/OBC/EWS; ₹1,000 for SC/ST/PwD; $50 for overseas applicants) via the online payment gateway.
• Submit the completed online application form before 30th November 2026, 11:59 PM IST . No physical hard copies are to be sent.

Application Fee & Category Concessions

Unreserved (UR), OBC-NCL, and EWS candidates: ₹2,000/- per post. SC, ST, and PwD candidates: ₹1,000/- per post. Indian citizens applying from abroad: $50 per post. Non-refundable fee must be paid online via the recruitment portal.
