Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualifications

Educational Qualification

• Principal: Master's Degree with minimum 45% marks, B.Ed. from recognized institution, and required administrative/teaching experience (Level 11 / Level 10 service).
• PGTs: Master's Degree with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/SEBC/PwD) in relevant subject and B.Ed.
• TGTs: Bachelor's Degree in relevant subject with 50% marks (45% for reserved) plus B.Ed. Mandatory qualification in OSSTET / OTET Paper-II / CTET Paper-II.
• Art / PET / Computer Teachers: Respective Bachelor's Degree / Diploma (Fine Arts, B.P.Ed./M.P.Ed., B.Tech/MCA/BCA) with 50% marks.
• Language Requirement: Must have passed Odia up to ME standard (or pass BSE Odisha Odia exam within 3 years of joining).

Age Limit & Relaxations

• Principal: 32 to 50 years as on 01.01.2026. Relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, Women, SEBC, Ex-servicemen, and 10 years for PwD candidates.

Personal Interview & Document Verification

Selection is based on merit in Computer Based Test (CBT), Interview, and Performance Test (for Art & Computer Teachers). For Principal, TGTs, PGTs, and PET, the final merit weightage is 70% CBT and 30% Interview. For Art and Computer Teachers, the weightage is 50% CBT, 20% Performance Test, and 30% Interview. Part-I (Language Proficiency in English & Odia) is qualifying in nature (minimum 5 marks in each language and 13 aggregate required).

• Principal: Pay Level-13 (Rs. 67,700 – Rs. 2,08,700)

• PGTs: Pay Level-11 (Rs. 47,600 – Rs. 1,51,100)

• TGTs & Art Teacher: Pay Level-10 (Rs. 44,900 – Rs. 1,42,400)

• PET & Computer Teacher: Pay Level-9 (Rs. 35,400 – Rs. 1,12,400)

How to Apply

Application Procedure

• Visit the official OAVS website at https://www.oav.edu.in and access the recruitment portal link.

Complete Step-1 Sign Up by registering with a valid Email ID and active Mobile Number to receive login credentials.

Log in and complete Step-2 by entering personal, category, educational, and professional qualification details.

• Upload scanned digital copies of a recent passport-size photograph (up to 100 KB, jpg/jpeg) and signature (up to 100 KB, jpg/jpeg).

Indicate preference for three Examination Cities from the available 11 CBT centres in Odisha.

Complete Step-3 by paying the prescribed non-refundable application fee online via SBI e-Pay gateway.

• Submit the completed online application before the closing deadline (11.11.2026, 17:00 Hrs) and download the system-generated application form with e-receipt for future reference.

Application Fee & Category Concessions

Principal: Rs. 2,000/- for UR & SEBC; Rs. 1,250/- for SC, ST & PwD candidates.

Teaching Posts (PGT, TGT, Art, PET, Computer Teacher): Rs. 1,500/- for UR & SEBC; Rs. 1,000/- for SC, ST & PwD candidates.

Payment must be remitted online through SBI e-Pay (Debit Card / Net Banking).
